Trash Heroes Challenge!

Be a Hero for the Himalayas!

The Everest region is one of the most breathtaking places on Earth- but even the highest mountain aren’t free from litter. At Panorama Lodge & Restaurant in Namche Bazar, we believe that every traveler can make a difference.

So, we’re launching the Trash Heroes Challenge- a fun and meaningful way for backpackers and trekkers to give back to the trails they love.

 

How it works

  1. While trekking in the Everest region, collect at least 2 kilograms of trash (plastic bottles, wrappers, cans, etc.) along the trail.
  2. Bring your collected trash to Panorama Lodge, Namche Bazar
  3. we’ll weigh it, record your contribution, and celebrate you as an official Trash Hero of Khumbu!
  4. As a token of appreciation, you’ll receive one night of free accommodation at Panorama Lodge.

Terms & Condition

  1. Each Participant must bring a minimum of 2 KG of trails trash to quality for the free stay.
  2. Trash must be collected safely and responsibly from trekking trails or nearby routes-not from lodge bins or villages.
  3. Hazardous waste (e.g., glass shards, batteries, medical waste) will not be accepted for safety reasons.
  4. Trash must be sorted and handed over in a clean, closed bag at Panorama Lodge for weighing.
  5. The free night offer applies to one person per collection and includes basic accomodation (meals not included)
  6. The program is Open to backpackers , trekkers, and independent travelers.
  7. Panorama Lodge reserves the right to modify or stop the program at any time for safely or operational reasons.
